Data controller
SORT Consulting, with registered address at Av. Gral. José María Paz 1481, Montevideo, Uruguay, is the controller of the personal data collected through this site. Questions about this policy: info@sort.com.uy.
What data we collect
Only what you provide when completing a form:
- Contact details: first and last name, organisation, role, email address, phone number and country.
- Intake data: the information about your organisation you choose to include so that we can prepare a proposal.
- The content of the free-text message, if you complete it.
This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, does not embed third-party resources —the typefaces are served from our own domain— and does not build browsing profiles.
For security reasons, the server temporarily logs the source IP address of form submissions, for the sole purpose of limiting automated abuse.
What we use it for
- To answer your enquiry and, where applicable, prepare and send a service proposal.
- To deliver the documents you ask to download —technical reports and equivalent material— and to email you the download link, which is personal and expires after seven days.
- To maintain the communication associated with that request.
- To prevent abusive use of the forms.
We do not use your data to send unsolicited commercial communications, nor do we add it to mailing lists without your express request.
Legal basis and consent
Processing is carried out with your prior, informed and express consent, given by ticking the relevant box before submitting the form, in accordance with Uruguay’s Law No. 18.331 on Personal Data Protection and Habeas Data and its implementing regulations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or transfer personal data to third parties. It is accessed only by the members of the SORT Consulting team involved in answering your request, and by the hosting and email providers we use to operate the site, acting as processors.
How long we keep it
Requests that do not lead to a commercial relationship are kept for a maximum of twenty-four months, unless you ask for their deletion sooner. Where the request gives rise to a contractual relationship, the data is kept for the duration of that relationship and for the applicable statutory periods.
Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. We apply technical and organisational measures to protect the information, in line with the information security management framework we implement for our own clients.
We expressly ask that you do not include credentials, internal IP addresses, classified information or third-party sensitive data in the forms. If you need to share information of that nature, we handle it under a confidentiality agreement and through an appropriate channel.
Your rights
You may exercise at any time the rights of access, rectification, updating, inclusion and deletion of your data, and withdraw the consent given, by writing to info@sort.com.uy. We will respond within the periods set by the regulations.
If you consider that your rights have not been properly addressed, you may lodge a complaint with Uruguay’s Personal Data Regulatory and Control Unit (URCDP).
Changes to this policy
If we amend this policy, we will publish the updated version at this same address, indicating the date of the last update.
